Everyone always wants to go to Maui, the Big Island or Kauai. I think Oahu is right there with them.

Pow!!!

North Shore was kickin while we were there. The Eddie was supposed to go off but the waves were not quite big enough. Can you believe that! They need to be 25-30 sustained and they were almost there.

Morning time in Honolulu.

I did say every morning!

Another Kauai sunrise...Like I said everymorning.

The respect of the ocean gets greater the closer you stand. These rocks were about 25-30 ft high and enormous but I could still feel them shack when these waves hit them. This is the rock that Anne Heche and Harrison Ford jumped from in the movie Seven Days and Seven Nights.

Chasing Rainbows!

The view we had every morning we were in Kauai. This would never get old...RETIREMENT in Kauai for 3 -4 months a year?

Hanakapei Beach on the Na Pali coast, Kauai. Had to hike about 2 miles of pretty vigorous hiking. About 3500 ft of elevation change in that distance but well worth the hike. You can hike another 2 miles to a hidden waterfall but didn't have time. You cannot see in this shot but the waves were kickin!

The hotel we stayed at was right on the beach and surrounded by a coconut grove. A beautiful mountain range was right behind it and provided a perfect backdrop. The sign reads Jacks sheep and goats...not sure who that attracts...not sure I want to either.

This was a wave on the North Shore of Kauai. It was early morning and the break was all ready big and building. This was my favorite side of the island. all the big name surfers live out this way..Laird Hamilton, the Irons family...

These guys are simply nuts with a big set of brass ones. This wave is at least 30ft high.

Tree of Life

Caught this tree when the light was just right. It looks like the inside of a humans organ. The trees on Hawaii are so cool. They make you want to build a tree house and climb around all day.

View from Diamond Head

Unbelievable perspective of Honolulu. I cannot imagine the view this would have presented during Pearl Harbor. We stayed here for a long time and even came back and hiked it a second time to see sunset.

Secret Falls

Lan and I took a kayak down a river 3 miles then hiked with a group to this location deep I the jungle on Kauai. The water was too cold for ...about the only thing I am afraid of. Lan took the plunge and I am sure she regretted it but wouldn't admit it. You can see the flowers in the pool as an offering to the Akili (Hawaiin Gods)
